Students learn about public service careers through an interactive, hands-on field trip experience with 25 minute activities at six different career stations.
***Schools must coordinate booking and costs for their own bussing.
Arrive: 9:00-9:30am
Depart: 1:30pm
May 1 & 2: Grades K-5
May 29 & 30: Grades 6-8
Activity Stations
Abbotsford City Hall: Using maps and the Official Community Plan, students design their own city block!
Abbotsford School District: Learn the difference between a house post and totem pole, and create a community collage!
Abbotsford Police Department: Lights! Cars! Action! Careers and police cars and Cheddar the Victim Support Dog!
Fire & Rescue: Learn about Fire Safety, and operate a real fire hose!
Clearbrook Library: Take a tour, boggle at the latest FVRL Playground items, enjoy a story, learn about Library careers!
The Reach Gallery Museum: Curate your own mini art exhibition, view student work, and learn about museum careers!
