This year, in conjunction with our exhibition Parallax(e), we invited K-12 students to consider their own personal geography.
Students were asked to develop artwork and digital projects connected to the prompts:
“What places, spaces, and moments are significant in the story of my life?” or
“How does my culture show up in my life?”
The artworks and digital projects in this exhibition reflect the diversity of experiences and identities of K-12 students in the Fraser Valley. Students were encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, to include representations of self, family, ancestors, personal interests, and/or cultural practices. This Identity Projects exhibition has been developed in partnership with Abbotsford School District’s Curriculum Department.
Opening Reception: April 14, 5-7pm
