The Abbotsford Film Festival returns for its 4th edition Friday August 25th, and Saturday August 26th, in partnership with The Reach, for a celebration of the arts in our community.
The two day event showcases a diverse selection of short films, documentaries, 48 hour films, and live music.
6pm – Doors Open
6.30pm – Short Films
7.30pm – Feature Documentary
9pm – House of the Future (DJ set)
The opening night sees the screening of a bizarre and diverse selection of short films, followed by the world premiere of feature documentary “A Bullet Pulling Thread”, a thought provoking film about quilting and police violence. We then end the night with live music from local bands. Craft beer and food truck available throughout.
6pm – Doors Open
6.30pm – 48 Hour Film Screenings
8pm – Awards
8.30pm – Live music from Semi Athletic, Daniel Sparrow with the Visions and Loans
The closing night features screenings from the 48 hour film competition entrants followed by awards, including the “Audience Choice Award”, where attendees vote for their favorite films and the winner receives $500. The festival then closes with live music outside. Craft beer and food truck available throughout.
