A Century of Jazz is an exhibition of portraits of musicians and vocalists from the beginnings of jazz in New Orleans in the early 1990’s to the present. This exhibition will provide an opportunity to see musicians who have become household names to millions. Sheridan’s interest in jazz started in the 1940’s when big band radio broadcasts were popular and bands toured throughout the United States, Europe and Canada. Sheridan saw live performances of Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Oscar Peterson and many others at the height of their popularity.
