Curated by Jennifer Shepit, Connections brings together the eclectic work of ten local artists who participate in our Open Studio program, which takes place monthly in the Community Arts Space at The Reach. The artists gather together to create, experiment, and connect with one another. The works presented span numerous mediums, perspectives, and creative approaches, and reflect the unique voices of the artists as well as the shared environment that shapes them.
Connections are at the heart of the Open Studio program. By working side by side, artists exchange ideas and form relationships that strengthen not only their own practice, but also the greater art culture in Abbotsford. This exhibition underscores the powerful role of artmaking in creating the connections that grow our community.
