Little México presents a new body of work by the Mexican-born, Vancouver-based, multi-disciplinary artist Carlos Colín. Through a series of sculptural installations, screen-prints, sound and video installations, and photographs examining the significance of merging symbols between Latin American art and history and its diaspora in Canada, Colín’s project for The Reach looks closely at the lives and experiences of participants in the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP), which brings thousands of workers from Mexico every year to work on Canadian farms.
