The fourth CITI/SEEN mural was created in the lane beside “Yes Chef” at 2619 Montrose Ave.
Artists Statement
The title of this mural serves a dual purpose, referencing both The Reach Gallery Museum that brought us together, as well as our collective effort to create a work which represents not only ourselves, but also our community. A prominent Mount Baker-focused landscape stretches over a background that includes four elements important to Abbotsford and its history: intricate Indigenous beadwork and stitching; the flowing waterways of the Fraser Valley and Stó:lō people; local flora of dogwood petals and salmon berry leaves; and the topography of Abbotsford and its surroundings.
