This solo exhibition features the intricate, elaborate paintings of Sara Khan. Born in England, raised in Pakistan, and now based in Vancouver, Khan explores her relationship to absence and presence through her meticulous watercolour paintings that often feature fantastical, uncanny creatures and oblique autobiographical references. This exhibition also includes Khan’s most recent experiments with installation work, finding ways to extend her painting process into three dimensions while also embracing a monochrome colour palate that contrasts with her usually vibrant colours and intense patterning.
